Chemistry in a Relationhip

Manisha came out of the most boring class of all. She came to her room, where she shared that room with another girl, Kumari. Kumari was a very close friend of Manisha. They both share all the issues they face daily. Kumari was going through hardships at her home. Everybody at her home was out of order. Usually, she shared these grievances with Manisha and found a shoulder to lean on.
At once, Kumari started ignoring her bestie. Manisha understood her and tried mingling with her as Kumari was already in a disturbed state. Later, Manisha found that Kumari got new friends to roam along in the free time. This bothered her a lot as she wanted to be on her side at tough times. On the same evening, after the class, when she came to the room, she found Manisha lying on her bed. Manisha asked her company to have regular evening snacks. But Kumari refused her offer which made Manisha disheartened. She felt all alone suddenly which she never experienced before. She didn’t feel deserted even when she parted from her parents and her friend for lifetime, Anand.
Manisha had a thought of calling her dad, who is more than anyone in her life. But she didn’t want to disturb the peace and the hope of her parents. So, immediately switched her mind to call Anand, who is next to them. She sought his words of help to get her out of that mood. She shared her problem but he never cared of her words. Upon that, he suggested to leave friendship when the other person who won’t even give value for her existence. But she kept on saying him that it must not be the way to deal with. Suddenly, when Anand heard that Kumari left her and made her dates with a new friend, he mocked her with painful words saying that Manisha was jealous of Kumari’s new friend as she was spending more time with her. These words hurt Manisha to a great extent and said Anand to shut his mouth and not to speak to her in a harsh manner. This is the powerful phrase which Anand had faced it for the first time in his life. This is a new oppression which made him to remain silent. His silence spoke words over there, Manisha realised her mistake and she too became speechless. She never hesitated to say sorry to her beloved ones. He also never but there was an inexpressible silence between them this time. He uttered the next first word that he was sorry and disconnected the call.
After sometime, a message popped up in Anand’s mobile. He just stared at the notification saying ‘sorry for being rude, My Dear’ from Manisha, who realised her mistake. His ego casted a black magic on his thoughts and stopped him to give a reply for that. He was holding the phone and sat on a bean bag. Even though it was his favourite, comfortable cushion bought at his wish, he felt discomfort in that at that moment. He was moving and making restless gestures on that. His grandfather, Shivaiah, found his behaviour unusual and enquired what the problem was. Anand didn’t reveal it. Shivaiah left him alone thinking that he would become normal after sometime.
Parvathamma, Shivaiah’s wife, brought medicine box for her hubby, which were to be consumed at that time. But Shivaiah was not ready to take them as he was deeply engrossed in the thoughts of his grandson’s condition. Parvathamma offered him the medicines again and again. It irritated Shivaiah. Parvathamma knew from their 46years of relationship that he would forget about his medicines if she leaves him then. She pestered him. His frustration ruled over his mind and anger took the driver seat and he shouted at her with a frowning face, “Keep them on the table.” She felt very bad at that moment and left the place. Anand could find it in her red and moistened eyes that she cried. But Shivaiah didn’t bother about her. One thing, she needed was his attention and cause for that anger. Out of his experience in handling the relations, Shivaiah could make out that his wife cried a lot and called her to him and said, “See, our Anand is out of mood today. I was concerned about the reason behind it.” She, now understood his status at that point of time. They both realised their respective mistakes at the earliest possibility and expressed it with their full heart.
On observing this old couple, Anand learnt the art of chemistry in a relationship that only conversation can alone resolve such silences. He moved silently into his room with his bean bag. He sat on that and recollected the whole sequence between him and Manisha. After sometime, he made up his mind and thought of initiating the talk. So he called Manisha but before it rang, he felt nervous and disconnected it. Again, with a strong will, he called her. He was unable to start the conversation but surprisingly, she took the first step by saying that it was her ignorance which drove over her mind and made her to utter such kind of tough words and tears started rolling out of her eye sacks. Unknowingly, same was happening to Anand. But he managed it and consoled Manisha not to cry and said that fault was on his side too and he wouldn’t have said so. After this, they understood that ripples will be created in a peaceful pond of relationship because of misunderstandings. He shared the wisdom he learnt from his grandparents with her to keep relationship strong ever that yesterday’s fight must not halt today’s communication. He said her that they have to build a beautiful relationship by admitting the mistakes made, at the earliest and express it with full heart and make others feel important to them.
